A free CD, Essential Biosafety, is available through AgBios, Canada; it provides scientific and regulatory information for genetically modified and other novel crops and foods. Information includes a database of safety information on all GM plant products with regulatory approval and a complete description of each event with regulatory approval in at least one country worldwide. It has detailed information on how it was produced and what concerns were addressed during environmental and food safety risk assessments. There are also links to regulatory decision summaries, and information on which countries have granted product approval. ISAAA and Monsanto supported the development of the CD. The World Wide Web Virtual Library: Biotechnology This directory covers biotechnology, pharmaceutical development, genetic engineering, medical device development, and related fields such as pharmacology and toxicology. It differs from Biosciences in that Biotechnology places more emphasis on product development and the delivery of products and services.
