Introduction

Dr. V. Ramakrishna is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Biotechnology. Sri Krishnadevaraya University. Anantapur since 2003.

Dr V. Ramakrishna has worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry, BLDEA’s: Shri B M Patil Medical college, Bijapur, Karnataka, during the year 1997 – 2002. 

Dr V. Ramakrishna having total teaching experience Medical college as well in Post graduate colleges for about 10 years. 

Dr V. Ramakrishna received his Ph.D in Biochemistry from the Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur in the year 1998. Subsequently he qualified in NET and GATE.

Dr V. Ramakrishna was awarded JRF and SRF from University Grants Commission, Government of India, New Delhi during year 1993 – 1997.

Dr V. Ramakrishna received M.Sc degree in Biochemistry from Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur with high percentage.

Dr V. Ramakrishna teaching the following subjects - Biochemistry, medical Biochemistry, Tools and Techniques in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetic Engineering, Immunology, Animal biotechnology for Biochemistry and Biotechnology students for the past 10 years.

Dr V. Ramakrishna also consultant and visiting lecturer for several academic institutions in India.

Dr V. Ramakrishna is a Board of studies member and member in panel of examiners in Biotechnology, Biochemistry in various academic institutions like Sri Satya Sai Baba Institute of Higher Learning (Deemed University), Puttaparthy and Sri Ramakrishna PG College, Nandyal etc.

Dr V. Ramakrishna is currently doing research in Clinical Biotechnology, Nutritional Biochemistry, Fermentation processes, Protein purification and characterization in various organisms particularly on proteolytic enzymes.

Dr V. Ramakrishna is technically familiar with sophisticated instruments like HPLC, Fermentor, PCR, Freeze drier, ELISA reader, High speed centrifuges and UV and IR Spectrophotometers, All  electrophoresis methods, 2D, Blotting methods, RFLP, cloning and characterization of genes and  also well versed in proteomic technologies.

Dr V. Ramakrishna guided postgraduate pupils of Biotechnology for short term projects as a part of the curriculum and published papers
